The Multihued Voice

the mixtures of various colors
that makes up her whole ensemble
is quite hard to overlook
though may be a little hard to handle
from brightly-colored patterns
to solid but still bright
her presence in the room
is truly a marvelous sight
but even if a visual is what you lack
you will know her presence is near
her laughs and voice resonates
and it is not difficult to hear
always in a permanent state
of happy-go-lucky existence
even in the darkest of days
her glee shows much persistence
though out of place it may be today
in the 80’s it had taken a big part
her hairstyle would’ve been the envy
of whoever sang “Achy Breaky Heart”
when observing her routines one wonders
exactly what her job title may entail
for what possible job title allows
surfing the internet all day
your most comfortable shoes you’ll need
when you require her assistance
and her lack of presence in her cubicle
will be just another encumbrance
but it is no giant mystery
as to identify her whereabouts
just stand quietly with open ears
and let them welcome her audible shouts
in rare occasions we may be lucky
to find her where she’s supposed to be
for some time you will still wait
since she forever has some company
they will be exchanging some stories
not pertaining to any work here
stories about everyone they know
and that no one else cares to hear
but often it is very difficult
to ignore what she has to say
she delivers them with such exuberance
you’ll end up wasting time from your day
