28 Lessons for My Almost 28 Years

1. Making friends is not as hard as keeping them

2. Sometimes saying nothing says everything

3. Student loans seemed like a good idea at the time but the people at NJ Class are just plain mean

4. It takes seconds for merchants to take your money but can take weeks for them to credit you back

5. It's okay not to know what you're doing all the time

6. Sometimes it just plain sucks

7. There's nothing more annoying than trying to talk to an automated phone customer service representative

8. Google is taking over the world and no one seems to mind

9. Hating burns more energy than not caring

10. You can't please everyone

11. Not EVERYTHING tastes better with bacon (e.g. bacon latte)

12. When all else fails: Pause. Step back. Take a deep breath. Then start again.

13. There is always moment of panic as soon as you see that rainbow wheel on your computer screen appear

14. A change in outlook can mean the difference between sanity and insanity

15. Always make time to do what you love to do

16. Be kind to those handling your food (they will spit in it if you're not)

17. Smile and nod and maybe they'll go away

18. Words with Friends ruins friendships

19. YouTube is a time warp

20. Headphones work wonders when you want people not to talk to you

21. When you feel like you die a little inside every time you walk into work, maybe it's time to quit

22. Ask questions with the curiosity of a child

23. I will never understand what makes the Kardashians so interesting

24. There's (almost) nothing more satisfying than a good home-cooked meal

25. Only hold others to realistic standards or be prepared for disappointment

26. Eggs will explode in the microwave

27. Listening to music is the cheapest form of therapy

and last, but not least...

28. You are never too old to play
