The Exasperator

As you walk through the department
you will notice a curious sound
it is a loud hum coming from
where this person is found.
Everyone around her can tell
if the music is to her liking
for she will sing her own rendition
that will sound like a cat dying.
In her bright, red lipstick
she is not hard to see
with those earrings and dresses
that will make the circus freaks flee.
But escaping from her cubicle
other noises are quite audible
including an obnoxious laughter.
In accepting humility she is incapable.
She will have no difficulty
in voicing her thoughts and opinions
because her way is always right
with this there should be no question.
But when others choose to take
any path she did not, herself, lay out
you will find her secluded in her cubicle
with no expression but a pout
and under her breath she will emphasize
the injustice that has occurred
futilely explaining her position
but sounding completely absurd.
When party time arrives
she will be quick to her feet
walking away with half the cookies
and saying there is no more there to eat.
One would think to find joy
in the sacredness of holy matrimony
but her non-stop mention of marriage
will drive the sanest person to insanity.
Ever since that blessed day
when she finally had said “I do”
everyone around is thinking “Please don’t!”
No one wants to hear anymore about your boo.
She will continue talking and talking
about anything and everything
and sporadically adding that laugh
as you wonder why you are still listening.
As she walks away from sight
you can still hear that annoying cackle
and you realize that any conversation with her
will only leave you feeling frazzled.
